AI policy is too consequential to be explained badly. Texas AI Report exists to give business leaders, policy practitioners, and informed Texans accurate, independently sourced reporting on what is actually happening with AI law and deployment in Texas — not what the press release says.

Publisher & editor
Texas AI Report is founded, owned and edited by Matthew Bertram, who is based in Houston. He is CEO of EWR Digital, a Houston digital marketing agency, and President of ModalPoint, an AI decision governance firm serving energy and industrial companies. He holds Oxethica's Certified AI Auditor credential and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Ownership & conflicts
The publication is owned by Matthew Bertram personally and paid for by him. It has no outside investors, sponsors or advertisers. It is not independent of his business interests, and we do not describe it that way: EWR Digital sells AI search visibility services and ModalPoint sells AI governance services, both subjects we cover.
